Annie: Brittany mix ?
We call her Little Orphan Annie because she had been abandoned by her family at about 3 months of age. She was hanging around a rental house in the country where a family was in the process of moving because the owner was selling the house. Lisa and her husband were looking at the property to possibly purchase. After two weeks, no sign of the family Lisa picked up the pup and took her to the vet. She was loaded with fleas, ticks, and she had mange. Lisa's intent was to care for her until her health was restored and find a good home for her. Lisa began puppy training, housebreaking, etc. and realized her potential 7 years ago. Annie has done many demonstrations, and also helps other dogs become balanced.
Leah: We think she is a Leonberger
She was a stray found by a young woman who tried to find her owners, but was not able to keep her. Lisa met the young woman and offered to take the dog and continue to look for the owners. Leah has lived with Lisa's family ever since. She was approximately 9 months old and loved Idaho. They became great friends. Lisa began training with Leah and she too worked doing demonstrations for prospective clients as well as going to schools to help children learn more about dogs. Leah now at nearly 10 years, participates only in helping unstable dogs who stay at Lisa's training facility to become calm & well adjusted.

The Cats: Bevo: Persian; Panda & Bristol:

Domestic Short Hair Both Bevo & Panda were surrendered at 2 years of age by their respective owners and were adopted by Lisa and her husband 11 years ago. Bristol arrived in their backyard at approximately 8 weeks old. Not able to find her owner (again living in the country this just happens) she was allowed to stay and put to work. She attends many puppy classes to socialize young dogs to cats. She also helps adult dogs learn how to interact respectively with a cat. She has been with us for 8 years.

Domineaux: Dalmatian
He was Lisa & her husband's first "child". He was purchased at 10 weeks old and traveled the country with them. He lived a full & happy 14 years, passing in 2001.
We are very sad and with heavy hearts, we have had to say good bye to Idaho. In August 2007 at 12+ yrs. of age he passed quietly & peacely during the night.
Idaho: Great Pyrenees
He came to live with us at 17 weeks old from the Great Pyrenees Rescue. He had been surrendered due to allergy. We were to foster him for 1 week.
At 18 months of age he auditioned for a part in a local ballet production of the Nutcracker and actually got two parts in the ballet. We were invited back and participated for 2 more seasons, only having to decline invitation for a 4th season due to knee injury.
He also attended National K-9 School for Dog Trainers with Lisa where they passed all the tactical training offered in the course; Basic & Advanced Obedience, Utility & Retrieval, Personal Protection, Basic Police K-9, Tracking, Scent Discrimination, and Support Dog.
Idaho worked with Lisa doing demonstrations for many years and now at 11 ½ years old enjoys hanging out at home with the family.
Lovie: Jack Russell Terrier
Lovie belonged to one of Lisa's clients. She had been their farm dog, never housebroke. The family had a change in life circumstance and could no longer keep her. Lisa, having known her for 4 years, offered her a home at 11 years old. Lisa started practicing the same housebreaking techniques as if she were just a young pup and is relatively successful now at 15 years of age.

All the animals, regardless of background and how they came to live with us, enjoy one another's company.
THIS IS OUR FAMILY!
